Kalanisha is an exuberant occasion Toronto Malayalee Samajam celebrates the Grand Finale of the Keralolsavam competitions every year. Traditionally Kalanisha is conducted in the evening of the last day of Keralolsavam competitions. The highlight of the evening is the award ceremony of the Keralolsavam winners. The various entertainment programs make this jubilant occasion colourful and entertaining. A large crowd religiously attend the Kalanisha due to its uniqueness in presenting programs with extraordinary quality.
Each programs presented in Kalanisha is carefully selected for its quality after initial screening by the TMS entertainment committee. Dance performances choreographed by prominent Malayalee choreographers and dance instructors, melodious music by local musicians, skits and dramas by talented writers and actors, various other performing art forms by the younger generation of the Malayalee community are few of the programs staged during Kalanisha. We are committed to bring such quality programs in the coming years. We see this as an opportunity to entertain our community and to promote the talents within our community by showcasing their performances to an audience of about a thousand Malayalees who demand nothing less than first class artistic performances. Kalanisha is also an occasion we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our artists of all ages. On this occasion we also celebrate the people, especially the parents, who are behind the successes of these artists who won prizes in Keralolsavam competitions.
